Vicki Fast-Barber, Academy Coach

Vicki Fast-Barber is currently a coach for the Washington State Leadership Academy. She has been a school and district coach for the past six years, working as a member of the Small Schools Project to support schools with grants from the Gates Foundation.

Vicki spent the majority of her career with Bellevue School District, starting out as an elementary classroom teacher, then moving into professional development and finishing as a literacy curriculum developer.

During her time as a professional developer, she taught numerous courses in cooperative learning, conflict resolution, and decision making. Vicki has also experience working with new teachers and helping develop systems for teacher support.
