Patsy Guglielmino, Academy Coach

Prior to becoming a coach for the Washington State Leadership Academy, Patsy Guglielmino's rewarding career in the public schools spanned almost three decades of service as a teacher, reading specialist, principal, and superintendent.

After earning a master’s degree in reading from EWU and administrator’s credentials from Gonzaga, Patsy served as the Northport School District’s superintendent and P–12 principal. By working together collaboratively (all district employees, board of directors, and community) on a strategic district improvement plan, Northport succeeded in transforming a district with a history of low academic performance and poor facilities into one that strives to maximize individual potential.  For 12 years, Northport School District articulated a clear mission, recruited quality employees, and executed a successful improvement plan, which ultimately led to the achievement of the Blue Ribbon School and U.S. News Bronze awards at the national level, and the School of Distinction and Great Schools awards at the state level.

Desirous of helping other districts and schools in their academic improvement efforts, Patsy founded Blue Ribbon Education Consulting, and currently also serves as a coach for the Idaho Building Capacity Project and Leadership Innovations Team.
