Barbara Lomas, Academy Coach

Barbara Lomas is a district coach for the Washington State Leadership Academy.

Her involvement in authoring the Washington State School Improvement Planning Guide and the Association of Educational Service Districts' Accreditation Process offers an in depth knowledge that she can apply to her role as a coach. In addition to serving on School Performance Reviews for five years, Barbara most recently facilitated the Southwest Washington Superintendent Learning Corps—a professional learning community for superintendents in the ESD 112 region.

With an educational career spanning nearly 40 years, Barbara's experiences in Arizona as a teacher, a K–3 Title 1 director, and a principal, as well as both a principal and director of school improvement and professional development in Washington state, contribute to her proficiency as a coach.

Barbara earned her bachelor's degree in education as well as her master's degree in educational administration from the University of Arizona.
