Passionate about education and diversity, Janine has been in public relations, marketing and communication for over 20 years.  She began her career as International Marketing Manager for Girls and Boystown in Omaha, NE., where she lead cross functional teams of print, digital, sales and events to communicate professional development services offered through the agency.  Since then, she has learned from and shared her expertise with education companies included but not limited Pearson Education, Career Education Corporation, and Seattle Pacific University.  Janine enjoys developing strategy and integrated marketing communications plans and tactics for educational services teams focused on professional development, tied to student achievement and positive outcomes.

Able to provide strategic communication, marketing and engagement strategies and services for private corporations, non-profits and school districts Janine is currently the Director of Communications at PSESD.  Janine has a wide variety of experience, including excellent writing, editing, strategic planning, multimedia and interpersonal skills, budget management, planning and and extensive experience in web design/management, social media, graphic design, blogging and content marketing.

Janine is driven to cause related marketing and fundraises for organizations that impact children and families.  Her efforts over the past 20 years totals over 100K of giving, including an event she organized, led and executed for Vision House, Harlem Nights, providing over 250 days for a family experiencing homelessness to have shelter, clothing and extended services while improving their personal situation.  Other philanthropies include, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness, Sickle Cell Anemia, Autism and scholarship donation for deserving college students.

As a past national officer, regional board member and chapter president of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Janine has vast experience training for professional development, mentorship with undergraduate college students, and practical knowledge on system improvements and volunteer staff management.

As life-long learner, Janine values personal and professional relationships, networking and building common learning and understand to enhance her work and benefit those around her.
