Larry Nyland is passionate about team building and leadership development, student achievement and systems improvement. He enjoys the work of building teams comprised of people who understand the nuances of working together to improve student learning. He has a proven track record of completing construction projects on time and under budget.
As an Administrator and School Leader, Larry has 27 years as Superintendent in districts of up to 54,000 students and nine years of central office experience with four as an associate professor. He has served as President of the Washington Association of School Administrators, Washington Alliance of Better Schools, and Washington Programs for Education Leadership. He was named Washington Superintendent of the Year, and National Finalist, in 2007. With credits, honors and accolades too numerous to list, Larry says in his own words, “I build communities of caring, justice and equity … working together for good. My signature is team development around continuous improvement for the greater good.”
